Punjab Govt introduce mazdoor (labor) card

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has launched the Mazdoor card for Punjab workers.

According to the details, 1.2 million working poor and 6.8 million heirs registered with the Punjab social security department will benefit from the Mazdoor card.

Mazdoor card can be used as debit card and ID token. In addition, the card will be accepted at Social Security Corporation-affiliated hospitals and clinics as well as registered private hospitals throughout the province.

The Mazdoor card will be linked to the Sehat Sahulat card and various government loan programs.

In addition, bank accounts are being opened for 1.2 million workers under the initiative. The workers will benefit from the Industrial Workers Housing Scheme and Akhuwat with the Punjab Mazdoor Card.

There will also be many other benefits, such as a discount of up to 30%, which can be used on products from more than 130 companies. Workers will also benefit from concessions in railways, shops and private schools to educate their children.
