In a recent development, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has dismissed the request made by Khadija Shah, a prominent fashion designer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist, for a medical examination and a meeting with her family. Admin Judge Abher Gul Khan made the decision, denying Shah's plea. The fashion designer was taken into custody on charges of incitement to arson, allegedly linked to the riots that erupted on May 9 after the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

Khadija Shah's lawyer, Samir Khosa, had filed a plea on her behalf, urging the court to obtain a medical report from the jail authorities and allow her family to meet her. The plea emphasized concerns about Shah's deteriorating health, with her family expressing deep worry as they have been denied access to her since her arrest.

Reports surfaced on Sunday, shedding light on Khadija Shah's declining health while in prison. According to sources within the jail, she has been experiencing stomach issues for the past couple of days. Khadija Shah, who is the daughter of former finance minister Salman Shah, is considered a key suspect in the May 9 attack on Jinnah House, which is presently serving as the residence of the Lahore Corps Commander, following Imran Khan's arrest.

Khadija Shah voluntarily surrendered herself at Lahore's Iqbal Town police station on May 23. Subsequently, the anti-terrorism court remanded her into seven-day judicial custody, scheduling an identification parade for May 30.

In the midst of these events, Lahore SSP Investigation Anoosh Masood has come forward to address concerns about the treatment of female prisoners associated with the PTI. Alongside Lahore Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider, SSP Anoosh Masood visited Kot Lakhpat jail and conducted separate meetings with the prisoners. During her visit, she personally met with Khadija Shah and inquired about her well-being. SSP Masood assured the media that all prisoners, including those with medical conditions, are provided with the necessary medications. Furthermore, she emphasized that the jail is staffed exclusively by women, with no male personnel allowed inside.

In conclusion, the ATC's rejection of Khadija Shah's request for a medical examination and family meeting adds another layer of complexity to this ongoing case. As investigations continue, it remains to be seen how this situation will unfold and whether there.
